According to the New York Times and confirmed by MetroFanatic, the MetroStars chose not to bring back Fabian Taylor for the 2005 season. Taylor was on loan from Jamaican club Harbour View with the Metros holding an option to buy. However, he would count as a senior international next year, and his production (just five goals, none in the second half of the season) and various injuries did not make Fabian a prudent purchase.
